I wasn’t even going to pack a bikini. I picked it up before the trip and thought — you’ll never wear it. Threw it in anyway. Here’s the thing. I’m 51, 4 years post-menopause and my body has changed. I’ve been more self-conscious about my skin, my middle, all of it. And I kept waiting to feel ready. In Bora Bora I finally said F-it and wore it. I almost didn’t shoot it either. Fully expected to delete every photo. When I saw them I actually stopped. I looked... pretty great. That surprised me.
