Retail therapy is real 🫶

Went to Michael’s for a little more fall decor bc I just needed more.
Went to Kroger (per usual 😂) and it was exploding with the most beautiful mums in the front walking in, a variety of colors for only $14. 🌼
I stopped at 4 pots, totally could have bought more but they wouldn’t fit in my cart lol

Cala Lane ✨

This is my family in a mood board on a wall…. It’s still a work in progress… but so far this is what I have….

Emotional explanation of this wall coming…… 🤷‍♀️🙏

I’ll start at the top:
the Cala Lane sign is indeed a real street sign that was the name of the street my grandparents lived on.
After the Lord called them both home, I no longer felt a sense of “home” so to speak…. Which is a huge can to unload…. but last year for my 32nd bday I saw Lainey Wilson at the Charleston civic center (which is where I went to my first concert with my mama Bonnie and mom to see Toby Keith 🤠) and then we drove by my grandparents house and just pulled up on the corner of the street and I had my boyfriend jump up and hit it down with a hammer- I was the lookout… decked out in concert attire on the street corner in the holler of Alum Creek, West Virginia.

Next is mama’s quilt rack, that I painted with annie sloane paint, it was originally a light brown color but I wanted it to pop against the dark wall so I gave her a glam up. All of the quilts were made by either mama or my great grandmother.

- The banjo resting on the quilt rack is my papa Bobs. He not only played the banjo but he also loved bluegrass music. I can still hear and see him sitting around the kitchen table playing cards with me singing along (terribly but full of spirit). I also hear him singing along in the car, while he taught me how to drive in the Alum Creek church of Christ parking lot and him being silly letting his teeth pop out while giving instructions. (Middle right is a wooden WV state sign with “the Meikle’s” etched on it. )

- Papa Kenneth’s songs of the church hym books. He was a song leader at the church of Christ. So him walking around singing hymns was the typical.
Sunday mornings listening to him go through what he was going to sing while I got ready…”Cala what would you like to sing today…”
Family trinkets on table: His harmonica and her vanity mirror she kept her perfume on 🎶

Things im adding: papa Kenneth’s guitar, his fiddle, mama’s Bible.

Favorite decor purchase for the home this year 🙏

I bought these from a company I found on Tick Tock : Art & Olive (they aren’t on LTK (which they totally should be…) )so I can’t tag them but go check them out. They have a ton of other beautiful spiritual/biblical paintings to choose from… I had to have the parting of the sea and of course the singing praise paintings but they also have a resurrection, a walking on water, holy ground (which is the burning bush), the one who returned, the good shepherd, Grace found Jonah and the creator.

With the holidays around the corner, these paintings would make great gifts! They have a wide range of sizes and types. Check them out!

my fall mantle is making me happy 🫶

I added more pumpkins, obvi, and a mix of cream candles (both in texture and size- like they definitely were not bought together but I’m kinda digging the mix matchedness) and also my ivory birch votive holder (which I bought years ago on Wayfair and I’m still obsessed with it- but I pulled it from the basement and then ended up in me re-arranging the basement coffee tables 🤗)

I keep playing with the mantle decor and can never decide but the fall decorations are way better than my summer decorations which are basically non-existent. I’m def more a fall girlie for decorating… 🎃

Bathroom revamping favorites on Amazon. Currently working on giving a more homey/more exciting look to our bathrooms!

I've got 4... and I have only started the half bathroom because it was killing me like I couldnt wait. The others I wanted to slowly work on to decide the vibe of what I wanted instead of impulse purchasing which I am a victim of on the occasion....

So heads up... tons of bathroom decor, storage, mirrors, and home stuff overall coming your way for quite a while...
Also curious if I'm better at home decor then selling my clothing style so this is also a huge tester! Adding collages of things I have bought, are thinking of buying, or have in my cart regarding everything home.

bathroom re-vamping in commission! I'm jazzing up all of our bathrooms.

Starting with the half bathroom everyone uses... Thinking about doing one wall of a fun wallpaper and then some floating shelves with pops of plants to make it calming and earthy. Its currently painted a dark teal so I for sure need to lighten/ brighten up the room.

Tagging the wallpaper I'm pondering. I'm thinking of doing the one big wall in the wallpaper and then leaving the rest so its not too matchy matchy.
