What’s in my carry-on for a nine-day trip to Italy… -two pairs of shoes: my versatile brown sandals that go with all of my outfits and a pair of sneakers I can wear for high-mileage days. - a small crossbody bag that is just big enough to hold what I need for my daily excursions. - The weather will be warm…upper 80’s for the high and evenings in the 60’s, so here’s what I packed: - 2 bottoms: a cool, gauzy skirt and a pair of stretch cotton pants for train days. These bottoms can withstand re-wears, especially on this relatively short trip. - This travel capsule wardrobe is TOP HEAVY since it’s going to be hot. I want to minimize rewears, and since it’s a short trip and I’m being frugal by packing only two bottoms, I can afford to bring a few more tops. - 1 dress that will get worn at least two times. It’s great with sneakers for sightseeing days, but will dress up nicely for dinner as well - 1 cardigan sweater that will go with every outfit. I’ll only need it in the evenings if it gets cool. - I threw in a couple of scarves to add some personality and to disguise any re-wears in the event I do wear a top more than once. - And of course, I’m packing my lightweight summer raincoat. - Fit Notes: I’m 5’4”. I’m wearing XXS Petite in the white skirt and Petite in the black pants. The denim vest and leopard print poplin blouse are cropped. I will link a longer version of the same vest for you. It’s cute and I would’ve opted for it myself, but my store did not have it. whattopackforitaly travelcapsulewardrobe traveloutfits LTKOver40 LTKTravel
