This Ware is exciting because it’s inexpensive (<$20), which is going to be a theme here. If a Ware is inexpensive but stands the test of wear and tear, it has a place in my home (and heart). Enter my 10-in. Lodge Cast Iron Skillet. I can’t remember this Ware’s specific origin story but I’m almost certain it was from my mom while I was in college (4-5 years old) and is still in mint condition. Genuinely. I don’t subscribe to buying/owning cast iron-specific cleaning products (I’ve seen oils, scrubs, etc). To clean it, I use a handful of coarse salt and juice from a lemon. I usually use the lemon carcass to scrub any grissle. 2 side notes: 1) look how perfectly the flank steak turned out(!) and 2) this skillet came pre-seasoned. lodge castiron castironpan
