I was in ATL recently for a client’s drapery install and stopped by an upscale shopping center on my way out of town. I noticed a trend that carried from store to store: BEADS.

And not just beads, but beaded items that looked for all the world like your kid made them for you at Summer Camp: big chunky rustic beads in bright colors, strung in random fashion on bracelets, necklaces, even hats!

I liked the hoop earrings so much that while I passed them up in the store, I went ahead and ordered them when I got home (I will show you how they look when I get them).

Did you ever make your mom a piece of beaded jewelry? (Does she still have it? 🤪)

I did a lil’ shopping in J. Crew after Mother’s Day brunch and visited their handbags department….these are definitely some of my favorites for summer. So well-designed and constructed, these classic styles have “keepsake” status for me.

I went to set my Easter table this year…looked through my collection of newer and vintage dishes and glassware and somehow it all came out green! I love the green vintage goblets, embroidered placemats, and mixing my mother’s 1950’s china with other fine old pieces. Green is also a strong color in fashion this spring, and I love this light cotton poplin outfit from @loft and @jjill .
