I had a little moment on Tuesday, a moment that my clients often experience in the fitting room. I absolutely LOVED my outfit! I felt incredible, it gave me swag and made me smile all day. I walked taller, had a spring in my step and a twinkle in my eye. The compliments flowed and I felt good. Really good. You might be surprised to know that despite being a Personal Stylist that appears to ooze confidence, I’ve not always felt this way about myself. A few years ago I was seriously lacking in body confidence and struggled with my self image. And so I set to work to overcome these feelings. At times it wasn’t easy and even now my body confidence ebbs and flows, but I’ve realised that by growing in self confidence and self love, all areas of my life have been positively impacted. So the point of this post is to say I get it. I truly do. I’ve been there and I believe that this is why I can share genuine empathy with those clients that feel the same.
