It's a perfectly cloudy, cold day & me and my little elf are celebrating a little early in between finishing my last minute wrapping!

I'm a HUGE fan of Josh Gates (actually met him a couple of years ago in LA!) and one of the highlights of 2020 has been watching his Tonight Show! He opens his show with a lil happy hour themed drink and although I don't typically imbibe, I thought I'd give this one a try!

I almost screwed it up (I'm no good with a cocktail shaker it seems) but it tastes delish and the recipe is below! It's from the "No Fear of Heists" episode & I think I'll have another and re-watch it!

For real though, I have no Christmas decor up and the little bit of Thanksgiving swag I have up, will stay up until November 27th. Part of this is due to my move, decorating and construction projects we have with our new house.

I also find that my reaction to this crazy 2020 year is the opposite of many. Instead of decorating for Christmas early, I find comfort in holding on to our traditions of celebrating Thanksgiving, appreciating all we have & giving thanks. And although it might be a different Thanksgiving dinner with no guests or family, the cooking of the turkey & the making of the dressing will happily herald in the start of Christmas & all the joy that it brings!
