Unpopular opinion: I don’t think every room needs a washable rug.

I have one in my basement and while I LOVE the colors, I’m not a fan of the thin texture. I think washable rugs absolutely have a place—kids’ playrooms, sunrooms, and high-traffic spaces—but for living rooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms, I’d personally choose a more substantial rug.

If you’re worried about kids, dogs, or everyday dirt, look for patterned rugs, deeper neutrals, browns, taupes, or muted colors that can hide a little life while still looking beautiful.

And honestly… our parents weren’t putting washable rugs in every room, and somehow they kept their homes looking good for decades. 😂

Beautiful + practical can absolutely coexist.

I finally found the moody brown I’ve been looking for—**Griffin by Sherwin-Williams**—and I’m obsessed with how it transformed this space.

Add a hallway runner, a dark Emperador marble table, a Magnolia frame, and my favorite magnolia leaves, and suddenly this little hallway has so much more warmth, texture, and character.

It’s funny… after all the framing, insulation, drywall, mudding, painting, and trim, no one really notices all those building details once the space is finished. 😂

The finishing touch our eat-in kitchen was missing… ✨

We absolutely loved the chandelier we originally purchased for this space, but after living with it for several months, we realized there was just a little too much metal happening in one room. I wanted to create a softer look while still bringing in more elegance and an elevated feel.

• Fold the shower curtain liner in half
• Use only 6 of the 12 rivets
• Attach the liner starting on the second drape hook
