2018 had some really great highs. Emily joined our family. For years I longed a second child and didn’t think it would happen but she’s been the perfect piece and we’ve just been so complete. Matthew had a milestone birthday, 5 years old. He started kindergarten, made new friends and has been excelling and I’ve just been so proud of him. 2018 also had tears. Lots and lots of tears. I grieved, I struggled with postpartum silently, and struggled (mostly still do) with where I am personally in my journey. 2019, I want to appreciate where I am, even with some unexpected bumps. Everything has a purpose. I’m going to embrace my unsureness. I’m going to search within and use those feelings. I’m going to breathe.
