Our Little Miss Loved Baby Shower Details ✨🎀

A little backstory: When we found out the gender of our baby, I immediately thought about how cute it would be to plan a “little miss loved” baby shower theme in our backyard, but when I went online, I saw no examples to really pull from. My goal was to find a way to fuse together a boho theme with pink, playful and airy + something princess like and I am happy to share that it turned out better than imagined 🥹

I know people typically don’t plan their own showers, but I really took pride in curating this and am so thankful for all of the vendors and the helping hands day of and leading up to this day that made the vision a reality. 🙌🏽

P.S: I really love planning events, maybe I should start taking on clients? 🤔🤭👀

Everything I packed in my hospital bag for my second cesarean birth. 🏥

Things I forgot to mention:
- A heating pad ( I also loved using hot and cold packs on the go provided by the hospital, but when laying down the heating pad was the BEST.)
- A going home outfit for me
- My hair bonnet
- 2-3 outfits for baby
- A comfortable lounging robe
- Customized swaddle for newborn photos
- My hospital provided an anti bacterial body wash for my incision.
- Brought my own pillow for additional comfort 🙌🏽

Not even going to sugar coat it. 😅
This is my experience as a 2x c section mom so far and I know that everyone’s is different. My c-section operation was a breeze, but like any major surgery, recovery can be a journey. Feel free to share your experience in the comments in a helpful way. Thankfully, all of this gave me my baby, so yes, it was worth it and I would do it again 😩

A few other things I thought of:
📌 Along with the momentary nausea and vomiting, my whole body was itchy off and on for some hours. Something I think is a side effect from the epidural medication 🤔
📌 The itching sensation where the incision was made was something else. I read that it comes when an area is healing after surgery.
📌 I believe that with both vaginal and c-section, you can expect uterine bleeding for weeks after delivery.
📌 I was in and out of sleep for a large majority of day 1 and would literally fall asleep mid convo 🤣
📌The stitches were taken out after two weeks at my OB visit and the site healed really well.
📌 Expect some swelling in the face, legs and body.

Personal review:
- Learning curve when assembling but not too complicated
- The output of milk expressed is really good
- It is on the pricier end if not covered by insurance
- Easy to use and the noise isn’t too obnoxious, but still has a sound.
- I wish the pouring spout was better shaped so it wouldn’t feel like a risk each time.
Check with your insurance provider to see if it is covered and you can get it fully paid for.
