The color placement flowed together perfectly and I love that the color stayed exactly where I placed it. It’s fun trying different, temporary colors on my curls. I did this style on an OLD blow dried twist out... meaning I blew my hair out then did a twist out. My hair was about 1 1/2 weeks old. That really helped me achieve the volume needed to make this style a success.

When I hit the beach I'm staying until sunset! ☀️

This is what I use to refresh my braids & prepare myself for a day at the beach. I love moisturizing with Shea butter because it dissolves slower in water than lotion and nobody wants to be ashy at the beach 🙃. A beach hat is always a necessity! For type 4 hair... mousse = volume over definition but @patternbeauty gave me both! 💛

After YEARS of being natural I'm still discovering that certain products give you a different outcome. This product combo gave me a lot of volume which is something I don't get when I use curl creams & custards. BUT I also know that with using a mousse the definition won't last as long and it has less hold on my type 4 hair. When I want big BIG hair mousse is the go-to product!

This was my first time trying the styling products and I decided to do a twist out. There's a few things I noticed while styling my hair:

Here's A Simple Way To Style Your Wash N Go🌸

This is an easy way to elevate your wash n go and/or accessorize it. It's also great if you want your hair out of your face or you're stretching out wash day.

🌸Use an edge control with MAX hold. You don't want an edge control that melts away or turns watery.
🌸It's important to use a skinny head band under the scarf for the desired look. It keeps the hair in place without giving you a headache, while the scarf is loosely tied for decoration.

In honor of that my first wash day of the year is dedicated to using mostly Olaplex products. I had to sneak my favorite pre-poo in there 😉

Essential Wash Day Tips:
- Always pre-poo before you shampoo. This will stop your hair from matting and reduce breakage.
- Tackles your hair in sections. I love to twist my hair up while I pre-poo & detangle. I leave it in twists when I shampoo, then take take the twists outs to condition & detangle. I twist it right back up BEFORE I rinse. When it's time to style my hair it's already divied up into smaller sections so I can easily apply my product.
- Use a denman brush to define your curls and apply product when your hair is wet! Re-water it with a spray bottle if you need too.
