There’s something magical about summer entertaining outdoors. I love dining al fresco and get even more excited when we get to host and share it with others.

A few tips:
— Dress the table. Set the mood with your favorite summer palette and simple flowers. I’m all in on green this year with touches of blue.
— Add lighting. Candles and lanterns for ambiance and this will keep the table lit while the sun goes down.
— Keep the menu simple. There’s something very relaxing about eating outdoors. The menu should reflect that and feel inviting.
— Bar cart or beverage tub to keep serving drinks easy, a specialty cocktail is always a fun touch.

Sunny Side Up! Boat and pool days can’t some soon enough. To get ready for the season I’m updating our pool washroom and closet supplies. I wanted to share some of my favorite finds that strike the perfect balance between style and function. Like these fun striped towels by Dock & Bay that are super thin, take up way less room if you’re boating or stacking a bunch for pool days in your closet.

Fun fact — I’m a total product junkie. In my previous career, I was the Beauty Director at Elle Magazine and my love for beauty products has only expanded to include all things home related as well. :) And I especially love high quality performing products that come in beautiful packaging to elevate my space. The Bermuda Lagoon home is pool & guest ready! ☀️

Designed for indoor outdoor entertaining, it was important to have access to the mudroom from the patio. Coming in from the pool or the boat can be messy and this keeps wet feet and grit out of the rest of the home. Guests can have easy access to the bathroom, towels, sunblock, goggles without walking across wood floors. There’s also a changing area and shower for guests to use before exploring the rest of the house. Pool party anyone!?

This project was so much fun to work on! Refreshing, colorful and full of personality. I love mixing and matching patterns and textures. Perfectly layered and balanced with the right pops of color.

When integrating patterns into my projects, I work with the client to determine patterns they are drawn to and weave them seamlessly throughout the house. The result? A vibrant yet cohesive summer oasis! 🌊✨
