Our homeschool room📖🤍
 This room has been put together little by little over the past 2 years & with lots of love & intention.
 It started with our sensory table & storage shelf setup, something my kids played with nearly everyday & we still incorporate in our lessons.  
I searched fb marketplace & thrift stores & started adding more things we wanted like a desk, art easle, book shelves & a lot of educational toys & games.
 Can’t forget the decor (which I still have a couple things to put up) for a cozy & whimsy feel.

Earth Day sensory bin for my toddlers🌎

I got this recycle sorting printable from one of my favorite Etsy creators @ThePreKMama & used it to talk about the importance of recycling & differentiating materials.

Used kinetic sand, shovels & mini planters to “plant” a tree. & used wooden letter to spell “earth”.

What better time to learn about bees then spring 😍🌸🐝
 Started our bee day with an educational book & learned so many cool facts about bees. I was surprised to learn about “pollen baskets” on a bee’s leg.
 Then it was time for some sensory play & exploration. They worked on fine motor skills, color sorting & counting while playing.
 This is also a great time to review what we read cause they listen & absorb information better when their little hands are busy.
 & of course we had to include a craft for our theme day! This one was super easy cause it came with everything we needed from our craft box.
 Ended with a visual review of a bee’s life cycle. I repeat the cycle and phases several times, the. They take turns being the “teacher” & repeating what they learned.

Did a little bee unit with my kids today and of course I had to set up a sensory bin to go with our theme cause it’s their favorite 🐝

While they played in their bins, they practiced counting, color sorting & worked on their fine motor skill using mini tongs to pick up the bees.

It’s also my favorite way to review what we learned cause they listen & absorb information better when their little hands are busy💛
