I became single again when I was 55 and had no clue how to get back out there. This is one of the reasons that I decided to become a matchmaker and a date & relationship coach.

Recently I was having a conversation with some people who were trying to figure out my age and it was a really sweet conversation and it made me realize that having a peaceful and drama free relationship helps me to live a stress free life and I believe that shows in my appearance. ☺️

Target unboxing part 3, I’m pre-diabetic so I take two of these SuperBeet supplements every night and have low vitamin D even though I live in Texas and spend a lot of time outside. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I like finding healthier solutions to focus on these issues so I don’t have to take a lot of prescription medications and these two I take daily to help keep me from having to take more medications. 💊

Many of us have a love-hate relationship with dating apps (mostly in that we love to hate them 😂), and for the last video in our Dating App Tips series I am encouraging you to lean into that frustration!

Get off the apps! Go outside! Talk to people in real life, whether that’s at a singles event or on the sidewalk walking your dog, the connection you’re looking for can’t only be found online–so go out and find it where you most expect it. ♥️

We DO NOT CONDONE cheating, nor lying as a whole tbh, so PLEASE 🙄 if you are trying to do so, do not match with people as if you are single 🤨 and then bring up who knows how long later that you’re married and trying to keep it on the down low.

NO! 🙅🏽‍♀️

🤲🏽 On the other hand, if you are in an open relationship or practice ethical non-monogamy, you should be up front about that too so you can give people a chance to decide if they are cool with being a part of that kind of a relationship dynamic before investing time in getting to know you.

Honesty is always the best policy, and some of y’all HONESTLY shouldn’t be on dating apps 😅😂, but for those among us who want to use dating apps ethically I think it’s always the best idea to lead with your truth and let those who are okay with is come to you 💙.

How do I start prioritizing dating again as a single parent? 💭

Over the years, this is one of the questions I get a lot from single moms–and some single dads too–and the truth is that dating when you have children, especially young children, is difficult.

Being a parent is a full-time job in itself, and with everything else we have going on, dating can often be something that we put on the back burner of life.

But that doesn’t always have to be the case!

It might take more planning, but if anyone can do it, it’s you, Mama! 🫶🏼

I know that for me, one of the worst parts about going on a trip is going to the airport, waiting around, and being too close to strangers, so being able to just get in the car go “down the street” or so 😆 is my ideal way to have a relaxing weekend “trip” with my loved ones.

It could be a weekend filled with going out and staying up too late, or one filled with relaxation and spa days (or a little bit of both!) but either way, a weekend away, is always a great time to be had, for Valentine's Day or any day.

Especially when the stress of traveling is off the table 😉.
