Go ahead, call me extra! I found a theme that worked for us for Easter this year - and I ran with it!!!
In dance every week, the teacher has the little ballerinas put their legs together in a butterfly position to ‘flap their wings’ and ‘hide from bees’ ... she then goes down the line and asks each dancer what color butterfly they are today ... Ava most always says ‘blue!’. 💙
Something about that prompted me to look on Amazon for blue dress up butterfly wings ... an easy find!
Then I remembered that we usually had kites in our Easter baskets growing up - could I find a blue butterfly version? You bet!
I then thought, how can I give this an educational/experience twist?
The most beautiful book about the lifecycle of butterflies came up ... this author has many gorgeous and informative books for Ava’s age group.
She has a book about the lifecycle of apples, which she loves - so I’m hoping this will be a hit. It’s a well reviewed book, so I’m not too worried.
Then I thought, how awesome would it be to actually see for herself the stages a butterfly goes through!?
Enter the butterfly garden!
I can’t wait to watch her experience her caterpillars 🐛 turn into beautiful butterflies 🦋
Spring is a great time to update toddler pajamas and Easter is a fun way to present them!
Of course we’ve got all the traditional candies lined up - but how delicious do these butterfly gummies look!?
And while shopping for the traditional candies, I stumbled upon a butterfly egg dyeing kit at Walmart - it practically jumped in our cart. Can you say perfect!?
The butterfly garland - that’s for me. I love putting something between our two hanging pendant lights above our kitchen island for birthdays and holidays. I know I’ll be able to use this one for years to come!
