Being diagnosed with a chronic illness is devastating to your entire life including your self esteem. Being told that fainting means you will never wear heels again is quite a blow to a girl whose feet have know a Choo or two. But sometimes I play dress up in my kid’s bathroom to remind myself that I am still bad*** and barefoot in this dress. I recorded this while documenting my chronic illness journey on TT with Autoimmune POTS hEDS MCAS. I am here to spread awareness that people are disabled by illness every day & our existence should be met with compassion & accommodation.
