Welcome! I may be a functional medicine doctor, but I am also a mom of a toddler, who enjoys living life and looking cute along the way.

The most common question I get is “what do you use?!” Whenever I’ve speaking about environmental toxin exposures as it pertains to kitchen appliances, food storage, makeup, clothes, cleaning products, etc.

So, I decided to create a space where I can easily categorize things, link to them for you, and make decisions as easy as possible for those who want better for themselves and their families but don’t have abundant time to do all the research themselves.

While healthy options are the focus around here, no one is perfect and for me, personally, I indulge in fashion that is just too good to pass up from time to time because every mom knows, you need functional outfits but you also want to look amazing on your date night. 💃🏼

And oh yea, most people follow me because they love my natural grey hair. 💋

Go buy yourself the blue denim in distressed medium and black. I usually wear a 25 or 26, but I got these in 27. Washed and dried them and they’re perfect. I’ve never considered myself curvy but the curvy fit leave room for my booty and legs to not be sucked into my shorts and the 5” inseam is great for toddler mom life!

I’ve never considered myself “curvy” but apparently if you’re more of a pear, you need to try on the curvy shorts to make sure they don’t suck to your butt and thighs. 🤪

As a toddler mom, I’m not trying to have shorty shorts anymore and dad shorts are in these days!

I got a 27 in both even though I’m traditionally a 25/26 so I can dry them not worry about shrinkage. The black pair are the dad shirt high rise and I got them in black and blue denim. The blue denim in the video is the A-line which is still a generous 4” inseam but not as long as the dad shorts.

Don’t mind my bedroom disaster as we navigate renovations and yes, that’s a dent in my thigh due to a teeter totter accident. 🤐

Don’t worry about the piles of clothes ready for the spring garage sale! Anyway, as the weather gets warmer, I switch to an ankle length pants and slip on shoes. These @Rothy's have been 👌🏻

My SIL has beige ones and I opted for black bc they will go with everything! They are also much wider than my point toes from ROTHYs so keep that in mind. I went with a 9 and I typically wear 8.5 in most shoes

Growing your own food is not only affordable and more delicious but when you have a kiddo, it’s the perfect time to get them involved in where food comes from, how to grow it, provide snacks for the family…play in dirt!

I have a summer wedding coming up outside and if you’ve ever been to one, you know the issues with a spike heel…
So, I got these wedges and they’re comfortable (peep the memory foam), not to high, and forgiving in the upper.
I normally wear 8.5, but needed to size up to a 9.
And apparently they’re just like a more expense anthro pair. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I pulled the trigger on the mag tile storage bin bc the structure, the unfolded playmat, and I have zero regrets. We have 3 sets of full magtiles, a micro set, 2 sets of ramps, and we have soooo much room left in the storage bin!

For my kiddos 3 year old birthday, he got 2 things: a crash pad and stepping stones. This winter has been brutal for trying to get movement in and I can say these are my best investments yet. He’ll be able to use them in so many ways and for so many years.

Within hours of having the stepping stones, he played so many games like obstacle courses, spinning, jumping off, color games, using them as a bowl…and they’re made to withstand 300lbs so all of us adults can partipate. They also stack pretty high so he’s been toying with how high he can stack it to jump off onto the crash pad too.

The price tag scared me but when every mom says their kids used them for so many years in so many ways, I’m sold.

I don’t love cleaning and ever since we had a kid, it’s been too hard to schedule everyone being out of the house for hours for a cleaning service.

So this is my favorite easy cleaning method for hard floors. Vacuum them and then use the mop feature and mop them. Boom.

I use water and a few drops of branch basics so I know the floor is safe from toxic chemicals.

What do you do when you live in Northern Indiana with a toddler during winter?! Get a crash pad. Do I need to say more?

I looked at sooo many options for this and decided on an “attractive” oversized pillow. It’s a little less dense then the true crash pads but you can use it like a bed, half up on the wall as a chair, or yes, a crash pad.

The cover is a soft faux fur feel and it is removeable for washing. The inside is foam chunks encased in another bag so it won’t be everywhere if you take off the cover.

This could be used for years as a crash pad turned movie night spot turned homework spot.

As I buy new things, I try to consider choosing colors that I never would’ve chosen before simply because they fit my color palette (summer), and just because I wouldn’t choose it on the hanger, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t choose it next to my skin! If you wear things in your palette, you automatically look better. Yup, that’s what said (bc the experts have proven that).

Old navy had 2 sweater options perfect for the smoky summer tones and one was a scuba type half zip in rosette and the other was a button sweater in a mauve brown.

I use a base coat and top coat. The color changes with the need or the season but this cool tone pink is perfect for when it’s winter and Valentine’s Day.

I’ve purchased 4 different ottomans this past year because we finished our basement which is also my kiddos play space. I recently switched my office to a reading room and needed some ottomans that could double as chairs, which means they couldn’t be like poufs I’d been buying for seats while playing on the ground.
This was was under $70, such a pretty fabric and details, and I can feel good of my kiddo falls and hits his head because it’s firm but soft at the same time. 🙌🏻

No, I didn’t use any products. Never have. Remember healthy hair is an inside job and you can only do what you can do with the genetics you were dealt. So, using my curling iron won’t necessarily make your hair look just like mine!

But I choose this one bc it has a long barrel and I can adjust the heat. It’s also the one my stylist uses.

I wasn’t expecting much from a pre-assembled, folding desk but I can say it’s perfect! Sometimes I need a desk, and sometimes where I need the desk changes based on where the kiddo is, lighting, etc.
This foldable desk comes in multiple colors, is the perfect height, and ticks away so quickly. I bought a storage ottoman as a chair and it tucks under it perfectly too!
And just like that, I have an office again if I need it.
