📚 We're in the final countdown until school starts, and these are the 3 things I'm tackling to make our lives a whole lot easier 🙌🏼

1. Back-to-School Routines: We're not doing the "Mom, what's next?" dance this year. I've got our routines all laid out, so that way my kids can be little independent machines & I won't lose my 💩 saying the same thing 17 times 😵‍💫
2. Paper Central Bins: The school papers are about to be flowing, people! To avoid our kitchen countertops becoming a sea of drawings and school papers, each kid has their own bin 👏🏼. Everything has a home & I get my countertops back!
3. Lunch & Snack Zone: My goal is to make mornings less "Where's my lunchbox?!" and more "Grab and go!" By getting all of our lunch boxes, snack containers, and water bottles organized in one spot... we're set for a smooth morning routine!

If you are just beginning your organizing journey, one of my favorite places to start is a drawer because it’s quick, relatively painless 😅, and can pack a big punch 👊🏼

Ready to Organize?? Let’s do this! 💪🏼

1️⃣ Pick a drawer, any drawer & take it ALL out - yep, everything! While it’s empty, give it a quick wipe down 🧽

2️⃣ Sort! Quickly sift through the contents of your drawer to sort them into general categories

3️⃣ Edit… Go through each category & ask yourself do I use this item daily? Do I need this item for a specific task? Does it make sense to store this item here?… you don’t want to end up organizing clutter, so be ruthless & honest with yourself… I promise your future self will be so happy with the end result 🥳

4️⃣ Organize & Label! Drawer organizers are the perfect way to ensure your hard work stays long term - if possible add a label so everyone knows where things go (especially if the bin is empty!)… swipe for drawer inspo✨

5️⃣ Maintain - just like everything else in life, organization takes maintenance… set a reminder to do a quick refresh of your drawer every 3 months!

Jackets, Boots, Mittens… oh my🫣

As the weather turns colder, its time to make sure your coat closets (or catchall closets 😬) are organized & ready for the winter season! ❄️ Swipe to see where this closet started 🤯

Here are 4 tips to get your closet prepped & ready:

❄️ Return Basket - I add a “Needs to be Returned” basket to every coat closet and its a game changer! You no longer have that pile of stuff next to the door and you can easily grab the basket & stick it in the car when its time to do returns!

❄️ Maximize Your Shelf - Add baskets or stackable bins to help keep categories contained and give easy access to your items!

❄️ Shoe Organization - I love adding a shoe shelf or stackable shoe bins below coats to use the space efficiently… if you have a furry friend 🐶 that likes to chew on your shoes, these open front shoe bins are a must!

❄️ Use the door - Over the door organizers are a great way to store your season items (mittens, hats, scarves, sunscreen, bug spray, etc) for quick access!

You don’t have to!! Set a time for 10 min & lets tackle this once & for all ⏱️👊🏼

💥 Take it ALL out… yep, everything! While its empty, give it a quick wipe down to get all those pesky crumbs out 🧽

💥 Sort your utensils into general categories (ie. Spatulas, Whisks, etc) Make sure you truly USE & NEED each item… yes, 5 spatulas is too many 😅

💥Organize your items back into the drawer using drawer organizers or dividers to keep categories contained ✅
