Some hair styling tips for wavy & unruly hair in a humid climate… Since I moved to Florida I have been battling with my hair on a daily basis. I cut it short thinking that would make my routine a bit easier but it’s actually made it harder to style. These are some of my favorite products that combat humidity, and make my blow out last a bit longer. I start my routine with Color WOW ‘dreamcoat’ spray which is meant to help smooth out frizz. You section the hair and spray liberally and then blow dry each section. The spray is activated by heat and lasts for 2-3 shampoos (like a mini Brazilian blow out). I then spray on some root lift spray by La based stylist Roz and use my new L’brise air styler to rough dry and then section dry my hair. This is truly a miracle hair tool for me, I am terrible at doing my own hair and this makes me look like I’ve come straight out of a salon and the volume and shine last for several days. It has saved me a lot of money on salon blow dries since purchasing it! Once my hair is dry I use my favorite hair oil from Roz hair Santa Lucia styling oil to smooth, protect and add shine. It also smells incredible. This is a genie in a bottle product and can be used on wet or dry hair. I discovered it after watching countless videos of Carrie Mulligan and Emma Stone having their hair done by celebrity stylist Roz for the Oscars. Finally I set my hair with the anti-humidity spray from Oribe, another great product that helps protect the hair from humidity and reduces frizz. To be clear I do this once a week if I’m lucky, not every day!! I usually spend my Saturday or Sunday morning when I have more time !
