Getting dressed during this brief period as the seasons change is easier than you think!

The end of August and early September can be tricky. Temperatures can still hit the 80s/90s, but with back-to-school vibes and fall fashion on the horizon, it feels like the perfect time to start transitioning your wardrobe.

Begin by retiring your bright whites and summer colors, and shift your palette to warmer neutrals and deeper shades. We’ll soon be fully embracing rich autumnal hues of beige, green, brown, and rust.

Here are 3 style tips to navigate this transitional period:

3. Add warmth to your beauty routine. Yesterday, I made the switch from my usual light neutral summer polish to “Wicked” by Essie—it’s one of my fall go-to’s.

I was in NYC for literally 26 hours this past weekend and needed a good semi-casual night outfit for dinner and a show! I wanted to wear comfy shoes so we could walk from dinner on the UES to Times Square. I kid you not these @dolcevita flats that I won’t shut up about are so comfy. Shoes are tricky so idk if they will fit everyone so comfortably, but I can’t rave about them enough. I recently got these jeans by @agolde and I love the high-waist sleek look. They are a straight leg without being super skinny. A classic and comfy chic pair. I love the wash too. I linked them in a blue denim too. This bag by the Row continues to serve an is a perfect day or night bag.

Sometimes it can be overwhelming to know what to wear to work in the summer. You still want to wear a blazer and look professional, but you don’t want to be dying of heat!!

This ITMFL blazer and JBQ short combo are the perfect match, and they weren’t even made for each other. I styled them with this Aritzia vest and super comfy Dolce Vita flats. Add on some chunky gold
Jewelry to give it a pop.

I couldn’t find the exact blazer and shorts online, but I found some similar styles that will get you the overall look. I haven’t tried them so I’m not sure about quality and fit, but they look good from what I can tell.
