Made a low-prep fireworks craft for the Fourth of July this morning 🎆And it was a hit with my toddler! I originally saw it on black paper with white chalk which would be adorable too.

My toddler took some creative liberties with this one at the end 🤣 but overall she did so good using a q-tip to paint the fireworks and followed my lead trying to dot it on the line (for the most part haha)

The sweetest sensory activity 🍩🍩🍩 (& messy- consider yourself warned🤣)

Made some “donuts” with pool noodles that I cut up, some sprinkles, shaving cream, and kitchen tools that our toddler already had including a mini spatula and spoon! My toddler did surprisingly well with this and didn’t try to eat any of it which made me happy 🤣 She lovedddd the sprinkles and scooping!

Anyone else on day 5+ of a crazy heat wave?! 😅🫠 We’re trying to stay cool over here and have actually done this activity twice this week because it was such a hit (and easy prep lol) with our toddler!

All you need are some small figurines of whatever your toddler is into- animals, little people, cars, or more- and freeze them! Then bring out some tools to “rescue” their toys- we need warm water with spray bottles, squeeze bottles, eye droppers, and also used her hammer and both times she played with this for over 30 mins 🧊☀️🔨

Found the cutest little backpack from @michaelsstores and wanted to make it custom for our girl by adding her name and a little strawberry patch 🍓

This was super easy to make- you just need to apply heat to the patches and her reaction was so worth it🥹

Save this idea for your next family movie night 🎥🐠🍿

We had the best time Saturday going all out for with a Finding Nemo theme:
🐠💙 First we made some blue jello and put some sea animals in it. Once the jello was set, we “saved” the animals with some scoopers and then cleaned them off after with spray bottles and soap. Our toddler loved this and thought the jello was so fun to play with!
🍿🥨🍬Then we made the cutest Nemo-themed snack tray with all the different fish and popcorn because duh it’s movie night!
🎥🐢🐡Ended the night watching Finding Nemo & we almost made it halfway through before bed time 🤣

We brought out these toddler-safe scissors the other night and while our girl isn’t quite ready yet for them, she had fun practicing some hand strengthening activities to get ready for cutting ✂️

Some ideas of things you can do with your toddler before introducing scissors:
✂️ Tearing paper
✂️ Crumpling paper into balls and throwing them
✂️ Practicing using both hands together (bilateral coordination- think how you hold the paper with one hand and use the other to grasp/cut with scissors)
✂️ Squeezing bottles or sponges

Also, once your child is ready to use scissors we loved these! Safe to use with little ones and cuts in different designs to make it extra fun ☺️

Sunday vibes = painting ice and building our girl’s fine motor skills 🧊🎨

This activity took basically no prep- I just grabbed some ice from the fridge and then got out our paint/paintbrushes. Our toddler was so engaged and painted for over 20 minutes! Definitely going to be doing this again this summer 👩🏻‍🎨
