I had the pleasure of doing this Bride‘s wedding hair trial today. Her wedding is in November and she wanted to try an updo. She warned me that her hair is thin and doesn’t hold curl and volume. Thank goodness I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get a big Beautiful bun and create softness and hold in her fringe.
I tried the bun three different ways to really test her boundaries and see what she likes. We came to a decision at the end that she likes her hair, soft and fluffy with a bit of texture that isn’t messy.

I got these Project Rock Red One shoes last year when Dwayne Johnson’s Christmas movie came out. And all year I’ve been buying red socks, trying to make it match with no luck. Finally on a trip to Niagara on the lake, my husband and I went to the Niagara premium outlet And found these under Armour socks to match my under Armour project rock shoes. I had the best luck that day because I found the matching track pants.

Enjoying the last warm days this fall at Niagara-On-The-Lake. The first outfit I put on was a wool mini skirt, oxford shirt and a sweater. Got out the door and turned back to change into this float red dress. Threw on my rattan earrings and brought a denim jacket in case I got cold in the shade. But the weather stayed warm for our wine and charcuterie tour

She came to me to address the disconnection between the length of her hair and the breakage from chemical highlights. She wanted to keep as much length as possible and sent me one of my haircuts as her inspo. She wanted to learn how to style her hair using heat less gentle techniques and products that assist in the health of her hair.

In this journey I started my cutting off the length that drew attention to the damage.

Next, I showed her how to use water, a vented brush and leave in conditioner followed by a diffuser.
She didn’t know her hair can curl like that. She thought it was frizz. I assured her it is not! And with repetition, the hair will look better and better in this curly form.

The goal for now is low maintenance hair in the journey to health and growth. Creating a wash and style routine that works for her lifestyle. Eventually she can get back to highlights but again, doing that in a healthy way.
