Personal Story Time ↓↓↓

These photos were taken back in 2020, in the midst of Covid-19. I appear happy in these snapshots, but the truth is, I was feeling defeated...

I vividly remember struggling to finish even my favourite dessert.

At that time, I was stuck in a 9-5 job that I didn’t enjoy—a sales role where I had to meet targets, make cold calls, and meet different clients every day.

There’s nothing wrong with such roles—some thrive in the fast-paced corporate world, and I celebrate their success!

However, deep down, I felt something wasn’t right. I was burying my creative, free-spirit side.

After months of mental turmoil, I decided to quit my sales job cold turkey.

I remember the shock on my boss’s face when I told her during Covid. “While everyone else secures their positions, you’re quitting?” she asked, incredulous.

I felt guilty in that conference room, but I knew it was time.

After quitting, it took me a while to process everything.

Finally, I started a fashion site.

During those days, I learned a lot—how to drive traffic, find keywords, and more.

Every day brought new challenges, and as exhausting as it was, it was satisfying.

My first attempt at a website failed, but ladyrefines.com is my 2nd site.

It’s not a perfect fashion blog, but it’s my baby, and I’m proud.

After four years, I ventured into Insta this July.

I’m not sure where this will take me, but each outfit post brings pure happiness.

If you’re reading, please know it’s OKAY to follow your heart, even if it seems delusional…🥹
