When renovating the kids bathroom I wanted a vertical niche look, but I didn’t want the vertical niche with all the space wasted at the top, for this reason I decided to separate it right in the middle. My kids have an almost six year gap. Just like many siblings they sometimes get on each other’s nerves. My 11 year old preteen uses different products than my 5 year old and I just knew I had to give them their own designated space so one or the other doesn’t complain who is taking the most space in the niche (sibling reasons to fights lol). I know one of my kids will say, “eww your shampoo bottle is touching mine.” Regardless, this is a design idea to consider when sharing a bathroom with someone else.
