Struggling to make your home feel lighter, brighter, and more like summer?

Here’s 5 Helpful Tips for decorating your living room for summer:

1️⃣ choose an accent color found in nature during summer (ie. light blue, light green, yellow…)

2️⃣ Find small ways to add that accent color into your decor
- ie. candlesticks, flowers, books, throw pillows, vases …

3️⃣ Don’t be afraid to add in fun prints!
- for example, mix printed throw pillows, or add a unique patterned vase/planter

4️⃣ Layer 2-3 leaning frames in descending order by size to add interest and depth
- you CAN mix mirrors with framed artwork!

5️⃣ Swap heavy materials for lighter fabrics
- ie. swap opaque curtains with sheer linen curtains; swap fur throw blankets with knit or gauze-y throws

Incorporate *literal* beach-y / summer themed decor
- ie. i used a hurricane candle with white textured ceramic CORAL all around the outside & a ceramic vase shaped like an abstract SEASHELL 🐚

When I think of preppy coastal style, the colors that come to mind are light blue & white. So I reflected these colors using pretty floral vases, throw pillows and real touch hydrangeas!
