Here’s my go-to formula for styling a sideboard that feels warm, balanced, and layered:
- Start with art or a mirror that’s about 2/3 the width of the sideboard and hang it roughly 6” above
- Layer trays or books to ground smaller items and create that collected feel
- Mix in candlesticks or vertical decor to vary height and guide the eye
- Use a lamp on one end and a larger vessel on the other to create balance
- Add greenery for softness and a touch of life
