The Intentional Living Room 🖤

A neutral living room doesn’t have to feel flat. The key is creating depth through contrast, texture, and pieces that each have a purpose.

For this Covington Curated design, I paired soft upholstery with warm wood tones, grounded the space with a layered rug, and added sculptural accents for just enough visual interest—without making the room feel busy.

The result is warm, elevated, and meant to be lived in.

The Inviting Dining Room 🖤

A dining room can feel elevated without feeling overly formal. I built this look around warm wood, soft upholstered seating, layered neutrals, and just enough contrast to give the space depth.

The key is letting each piece play a different role—the table grounds the room, the chairs soften it, the rug adds warmth and texture, while the lighting and art bring in the character.

Everything works together without everything having to match.

The biggest mistake people make with moody interiors?

They turn off the lights.

Moody spaces aren’t dark because they lack light. They’re intentional about where light lives.

Think:
• Table lamps
• Wall sconces
• Picture lights
• Warm bulbs
• Candles

The contrast between light and shadow is what creates the mood. It’s what adds depth, warmth, and atmosphere to a space.

Moody isn’t a color palette. It’s a feeling.
