Layering season is here and the good news is… you probably already own most of what you need.
Start with your wardrobe staples — shirts, tees and lightweight knits — and begin layering them together in new ways.
If you’re missing a piece or two that makes layering easier (think a great oversized shirt, half-zip knit or lightweight turtleneck), I’ve added a few of my favourites below.

And a little stylist tip — there’s no need to spend a fortune on great knitwear or basics. I’ll always point women towards UNIQLO, Assembly Label and COS. They’re on trend, beautifully made, and still very reasonable price-wise.

The trench coat in 2026 is far more relaxed and effortless than it used to be. Looser, softer, easier to wear. Just throw it on and don’t overthink it.

I’m wearing a Small in Firebird pants but can easily wear a Medium also. Very comfortable and flattering on tummy.
