#hoyapatricia is a cross between Hoya Elliptica and Hoya darwinii. I’ve grown H Elliptica but not H darwinii. I feel #hoyacvpatricia is easier to grow than H Elliptica. At least in my experience and in my environment. I like the foliage on this one, but my favorite part about this particular hoya is its beautiful flower.

Some Hoyas are all about the flowers… and then there’s Hoya clemensiorum, showing up with foliage this dramatic! I’ve flowered #hoyaclemensiorum earlier this year but the blooms didn’t last long enough for me to grab a picture for you all.

So in this post, let’s appreciate the intricate, almost reptile-skin-like venation on these leaves. The texture, the silvering, the deep green veins, and those long, elegant leaves make this one of those plants I can stare at way too long.

One of my absolute favorites for fabulous foliage.

The name of this one was recently changed, but I’ve been calling it by its old name for so long that it’s been hard to make the switch. 😂 But it’s time to move on, so I’m sharing both names here!

Man alive, this one is a sweet little beauty! These leaves have my 💚! I’m at a point with my hoya collecting that if I can’t say, “this is one of my favorite hoyas,” then I don’t have room in my house for it. And, this #hoyabrevialata is staying! The round’ish leaves that curl under are just so charming!

Have you noticed that I photograph the majority of my plants with water 💦 still on their leaves? There’s a reason! I coordinate their showers with my posts. 😂

With just under 200 Hoyas in my collection, I rotate through them so each plant gets a good leaf cleaning about once every 3 months. 😁

But while I’m giving them a shower, I’m doing more than just cleaning their leaves! I also let the water run all the way through the pot and drain out the bottom. This helps flush out excess fertilizer salts that can build up in the growing medium over time.

🌱 Fertilizing is important for healthy growth, but flushing those accumulated salts is important, too!

So if you see water droplets on my Hoyas…now you know why! 💦🪴✨

#hoyajennifer was made for all you Jennifers out there! 😆🤪 I may have caught this umbel on its way out, but she still showed up looking fabulous. Some blooms just refuse to have a bad day! 🌸

Have you noticed that I film most of my plants with water 💦 still on their leaves? That’s because I coordinate their shower with my posts! 😄 I have around 190 Hoyas, and I rotate through them in order, so each one gets its leaves cleaned about every 3–4 months.

While I’m rinsing the leaves, I also let plenty of water run through the potting mix and drain out the bottom. This helps flush out excess fertilizer salts that build up over time. Fertilizing is important, but flushing those salts out is just as important!

Have you ever heard of #hoyamicrodwarf before? Well, its name is pretty fitting because it’s definitely micro! 🤣 The leaves are tiny, and apparently the blooms are too.

I didn’t realize this one could sun stress, but I’m so glad it did. The extra color gives it such a bushy, textured look that makes those tiny leaves stand out even more.

A friend I met right here on IG, @its.always.hoya, sent me this darling #hoya as a gift this past year. How cool is that?! 🥰 Thank you, Casey! 🫶

My #DischidiaCamiguinIsland never seems to take a day off. It blooms nonstop! 🌸 The flowers stay just like this for quite a while and never open any wider, which somehow makes them even more charming.

Am I the only one getting tiny firework vibes from these blooms? 🎆

As much as I enjoy Dischidias, I’ll admit I’m a little biased toward their cousin, the Hoya. Hoya blooms tend to steal the show for me. ☺️ Still, these cheerful little flowers are undeniably cute and add the perfect pop of color among all the green. 💚✨

#hoyamadara aka #hoyamadarasnowangel is tough to capture on camera since the camera struggles a bit with where to focus. I love this little bizarre twist that this unique #hoya brings to the mix! Another twist, my particular plant is growing in a very compact pattern. I keep waiting for the nodes to lengthen a bit so I can take a back up cutting! 🤞

My #hoyanummularioides has popped a few flowers recently. Not as many as it usually blooms, but something is better than nothing. These blooms smell lovely up close, but they make a room smell stinky from far away. In my opinion.

This particular #hoya is a seasonal bloomer. To encourage blooming, it thrives with cool nighttime temperatures, which help trigger its tiny peduncles to mature and extend, eventually producing flowers. What I find fascinating about this Hoya is that nearly every node develops a peduncle, and its leaves have a wonderfully soft, velvety texture that adds to its charm.

#HoyaDeykeae has a reputation for being a bit challenging, but I haven’t found it too difficult. It’s definitely a slow grower and has an annoying habit of letting new vines or baby leaves die off, but overall, it hasn’t been much of a problem for me. And now it’s showing off some beautiful colors this autumn! I’ve also bloomed it for the first time now!

My #hoyavitellinoides has gotten huge! And she is now blooming on repeat! The chunky leaves are all so unique, with each one looking a bit different. One thing I’ve noticed is that this Hoya is especially thirsty compared to my other large-leaf varieties—it definitely enjoys its water!

Look at this Baddie of a #hoya! My #hoyaspaffburtoniae is one of my largest small(er) leafed Hoya! I love how full this plant is. The blooms are fragrant and fill the room with a buterscotch fragrance.
