š« Mexican Hot Chocolate Brownies š« This started out as a cookie recipe, and then I quickly realized that it would be better as yummy fudgy( donāt think thatās a word lol) brownies using @chocolateabuelita š. @heb ās 1905 Vanilla took it to another level! Recipe Below ā¬ļø Ingredients 6 oz Mexican chocolate 9 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened 1 cup light brown sugar ¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract 2 eggs 1ā cups all-purpose flour ¾ cup cocoa powder, plus 1 tablespoon 2 teaspoons baking powder ¼ teaspoon ancho chile powder 1 teaspoon kosher salt confectionersā sugar, for coating (use your desired amount) Instructions 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Fill a small saucepan halfway with water and bring it to a simmer. Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, set it over the simmering water, and stir until melted. Remove from heat and set aside. 2. In the work bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter, brown sugar, and vanilla on medium speed until very light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Scrape down the bowl, then beat for another 5 minutes. 3. Reduce the speed to low, add the melted chocolate, and beat until incorporated. 4. Add the eggs, beating until incorporated and scraping down the bowl as needed. Once both eggs are added, scrape down the bowl again, increase speed to medium, and beat for 1 minute. 5. Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, ancho chile powder, and salt. Reduce speed to low and beat until the mixture comes together. 6. Pour the mixture into a 9ā baking dish. 7. Bake for 15-20 minutes 8. Remove from the oven and let them cool 20 to 30 minutes before sprinkling powdered sugar on top. 9.
