It’s always Levi’s I end up coming back to for a straight leg jeans recommendation so I thought I’d save a little fit and size guide for easy reference. Firstly these are ‘feel good’ jeans The denim quality and fit is excellent at this price point. Note - I much prefer the no stretch or very low stretch denims - they mould with you , age better and I find hold in or disguise any tummy better. The button fly also helps here - it’s a distraction! Ok so 501 90’s - my personal favourite just now . Straight leg which sits slouchy and easy through the hip and thigh . The rise is mid at 10.5 inches (not too low and still covers everything you need) Button fly I’m wearing a 31 wast and 30 leg - I wanted them a touch shorter to wear with socks and clogs and walking boots. ( think about your go to footwear for lengths) they are available in full length and ankle jeans so 5-6 lengths in total . Ribcage straight- a very flattering hold it in jean. - straight leg ( slightly slimmer than the 501 90’s) - rise sits high at 14 inches- great for tucking in and good for showing off more of a waist. - Fitted through hip and thigh - button fly -they are available in full length and ankle jeans so 5-6 lengths in total . I’m wearing the 31 waist 32 leg - as I wanted them to wear with a low heel boot - but more often wear them turned up with loafers /trainers / clogs etc. ** I tend to cut my Levi’s hems - they don’t unravel and you can get the exact length you want. ( don’t go to short! Keep them about 1.5 inch above ankle bone shortest!!) this shorter ankle length is good with chunky trainers and boots. Generally a 28 fits a 10 , 29 a larger 10 or 11 , 30 a 12. I’m usually a U.K. 14 (waist on the smaller end) and the 31 is a perfect fit on me. My exact waist measure - 32 inch (smallest part) Hips at widest point - 42 inch Height - 5ft 7 The beauty of Levi’s is once you know your size you can easily shop second hand and get some incredible bargains.
