I wanted designer lantern sconce energy… but my budget was giving Dollar Tree aisle. So I turned two little lanterns into DIY wall sconces for my laundry room using spray paint, Rub ’n Buff, leftover ceiling tile, and golden battery candles.

They’re now hanging in the laundry room quietly pretending they were always meant to be sconces — and honestly, I think they work.

Inspired by the Anthropologie Primrose mirror, but on a much friendlier budget. I transformed a Facebook Marketplace mirror with Rub ’n Buff and a wood finial to get that ornate, vintage-inspired designer look for less.
