2025 Holiday Decor for both the home and my studio!

When you have a loft with a spiral staircase, you have to get creative in getting heavy items up to storage. Jason had blocks, we got rope for them, and our system was born! We have a few different kinds of Christmas tree bags, but we only use one kind of storage tote (just have them in different colors). They are heavy duty, have wheels, and a handle on one end for ease in moving and hoisting- plus they stack really well!

One year I wrangled all 3 boys into my bedroom at my parents’ house on Christmas Eve. Jack and George were barely crawling. I had gotten the 4 of us matching pajamas and told no one. Somehow I managed to get us all dressed (picture herding cats) and at 2 yrs old Henry’s face lit up to see us all dressed the same.
This year he has outgrown kids sizes and needs the adult style.
As kids get older, things change…but the way I see it that just means the magic I bring to the table needs to change. So buckle up, next year we enter the middle school phase and this aunt is not going to down without a fight 😎🎄

Christmas Eve is tough for kids. They’re so excited they can barely contain themselves…and so the Christmas Olympics were born. It gives them something to be excited about, something to focus on, creates some movement, and God willing will wear them down a little so they go to bed soon in the process of making memories 🤣

Welcome to the annual No Moms, No Dads Allowed Party!
The boys come for the entire day and just think it’s a tradition because we have such a great time and parents can’t hang. The reality is, it was born out of an effort to give my sister an entire day to make the real magic happen.
The truth is we don’t do much. They rotate through stations- PC, Play Station, and what I call the “spend time with your aunt station”. So they do have to take a break. We dine on a fine cuisine of chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, and junk. I make hot chocolate and a special Christmas mocktail. And then we make a a craft to gift family on Christmas morning that they don’t really want to do but I make them 😂

As simple as that sounds, they love it. They talk about it all year. And I hope they want to do it forever 💗
