Day 3- she rose a little bit, we have bubbles as a sign of fermentation, so the kamut sourdough journey is officially popping off! Thanks to Sourhouse and higher quality flour this time around I can tell she’s off to a much stronger start than my intro to sourdough a couple years ago🎉
Now we just repeat this ever day until she doubles in size on her own!

She’s Starting Y’all!
She’s starting a starter. Again. Going in with more knowledge this time, but adding a twist by going with Kamut flour this time. It is an ancient grain that hasn’t been modified, making it easier for our bodies- even those with sensitivities- to digest.
The Food Nanny is my Yoda, I’ve learned from her and she is an expert. But if you’re looking for Kamut Sourdough for Dummies…you’re probably in the right place🤣

Waited until they all had their moment and as of yesterday…that’s a wrap on the JBP Class of 2025!

I had so much fun with every single one of these seniors- I had so many sessions with some I didn’t even really have to give posing instructions anymore, they already knew what to do! But during that time, I also got to know them. Their families. Their goals. I’m so excited to see all the things they’ll do, but man am I gonna miss seeing them around town, having sessions with them, and watching them in their sports, as they go wild in a cheer block, dress up for prom, laugh with their friends, and try to figure out the best way to make that silly graduation hat work.
Parents- you’ve done the best job raising the best kind of people🏆

Setting up for prom mini sessions takes time- we arrived 90 minutes early to make sure we had all of our lighting and props ready, poses planned, and settings dialed in! It takes a lot of different items to create the perfect moment- but luckily we started with a perfect location and amazing light!

Anyone else’s house feel totally BARE after the Christmas decor left?
