Christmas in NYC, Day 4: Furs
Y’all, faux furs are everywhere in NYC- because they’re warm! We started the day at Central Perk in Times Square which is an absolute must if you love the show Friends. Then…the hardest part of the trip…we had to pack. We tested the limit and strength of the zippers on our luggage. Some things got left behind. Some things got put into other people’s bags to make it work, but we did it! (Some people bought more and had to do it again before we left🤣). Then we went over to Bryant Park to ice skate and back to 5th Ave for more shopping. From there we went back to the hotel to pick up our bags and get ready to head home. Blake had the great idea to do a Secret Santa in our time there, so we exchanged our gifts and it was so fun to choose a souvenir for someone else and to get one in return!

Day 3 we started a little later but still squeezed a lot into the day! We started with Macy’s on 34th Street and went through the market outside there. Then we headed to Hudson Yard to go up to The Edge for an amazing view over Manhattan- the observation deck was closed for high winds but it was still totally worth it! From there we had an appt for perfume creation at Olfactory NYC where Blake and Jennifer created custom scents. We did a quick break at the hotel for an outfit change and then we were back at it- Fifth Ave, the Sak’s light show, Times Square, and another small market area rounded out our evening!

Christmas in NYC Day 3: Christmas Plaid/Red

I like the subtle plaid touch with the ribbons on this sweater. I only took one pair of jeans to save space so they were worn for 3 days. They’re roomy enough that when I was cold (or needed more space in my life on the way home 😬) I could wear leggings under them for added warmth.
My size in the sweater was sold out, so I sized down…but I wish it was longer- tall girl problems!

Christmas in NYC, Night 2: Leather & Animal Print!

Spanx Faux Leather legging was the obvious choice paired with this cute coat. I added a red beanie to add some holiday fun to the outfit!

Christmas in NYC, Day 2: Pastel (we were heavy on the pinks lol)

These Hunter boots were a top performer on the trip since there was melting snow everywhere. They kept me dry and the comfort was great even with all the walking we did!

Day 2 was probably the fullest day!
Maria and I got up and ready early to go shoot some content before the crowds hit Rockefeller Center (yes I am in In My Sundays. We grabbed a quick bite on the way back to the hotel and then we were off! Grand Central Station, Lotte Palace, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, back to Rockefeller for Maria to drop of her giveaway item, a carriage ride through Central Park, candy at Bob-Bon, lunch at Louis Vuitton, a speed walk to the hotel and Radio City Music Hall for the Rockettes, and the most amazing dinner with gnocchi I’ll be dreaming of at Sanbabila.
Each night was like a slumber party in our room full laughter and “we need to go to sleeps” (with our feet elevated because NYC gets you all the steps!)

For our Christmas Breakfast at church I wore one of my NYC outfits from our red night. We had themes for each day and evening to keep our looks cohesive for photos which made packing very easy!
A slip skirt paired with an oversized sweater is very on trend this season, and the red color way along with my green accessories kept it holiday festive!

Long story short: Will I travel for photography? ABSOLUTELY!
Maria and Jennifer invited me to capture their trip for Blake’s 13th birthday to New York City at Christmas time and it was amazing! We soaked in the city, the season, and capture some content for their businesses as well.

Day 1 got off to a slow start after our original flight got cancelled, but we made the best of it and were still able to get to town and rescheduled our hot cocoa cruise around Manhattan.
