If I had to choose one outfit that summed up my outfit this year, it’s this.

A denim skirt that feels timeless.

Knee high boots that make me feel powerful.

A soft and structured lady-jacket cardigan with just enough gold sparkle.

Classic. Comfortable. A little elevated.

This is the year that I fully embraced dressing for how I want to feel — regardless of the dress code.

Tried on 3 tops from JCrew Factory.

I might try sizing down in the first two tops. They are definitely too big/long when unbuttoned.

The green shirt is an amazing color — especially for springs — but the top just didn’t fit right on my Apple shape body.

I’ve been wearing these pants around the house for 3 days now. They’re lightweight, 100% cotton & so comfortable. I probably could have sized down (lots of room in the waist and hips) but I’m plan to wear them around the house so I don’t mind the size.

The tanks didn’t fit right. The straps are too long & they gap at the bust/underarms. This is a common problem for me, so do with that info as you will.

I tried the dress is XXL (first) and XL (second). Definitely size down.

The turquoise cardigan fit me better in the 1x; the xxl was too big all around.

I sized down in the periwinkle dolman sleeve cardigan shown at the end.

Sandals fit and were comfortable, but I was afraid the material might start peeling, so I’m returning them.

Maybe you’ll have better luck than me!
