AAPI Heritage Month is one of my favorite times of the year because it’s an intentional moment to celebrate the beauty of our cultures, honor the resilience of our communities, and recognize the stories that shaped us. I’ve come a long way from simply saying I’m a first-generation Vietnamese American to truly feeling proud to be one. For a long time, I wanted to blend in. Now, I realize my heritage is one of the most meaningful parts of who I am. It influences the way I see the world, the way I connect with people, and the stories I choose to tell. I hope that through sharing pieces of my culture and experiences, it encourages curiosity, openness, and appreciation for perspectives that may be different from your own. Representation matters! Not just in media, but in beauty, business, storytelling, and everyday life.
