Reading, Science, & Fine Motor Skills Lesson Idea for toddlers+ You can use this for MANY learning themes. 1-3 books on the topic, a bin, some kinetic sand, a pincer, & manipulatives to match your topic🤍 I chose worms to extend our previous lesson on plants… Read the book(s) with your child, discuss the pictures, read, ask questions… don’t feel like you need to read every word on the page, especially when they are toddlers & have a shorter attention span. Most of the time I go with the flow & let him guide me through what catches his attention. This helps keep him engaged. After the book, we used a simple sensory bin ( I’ll be reusing this bin for many other lessons I have planned) His task was to use the pincer to excavate the worms from the dirt (kinetic sand) & place them into the bowl. This helps tremendously with concentration & fine motor skills. LTKHome LTKKids LTKSpringSale
