Flowers you don’t have to emotionally OR physically support all summer! 🌷 🌺 🌼 🌸
1) you will need rocks with enough flat space to paint
2) I used cheap acrylic paint!
3) paint a background that is opposite of your flower
4) get flower ideas from your own brain or Pinterest or go look at a flower 🌼
5) the most important step: spray with clear coat. Like a lot of times
6) arrange them anywhere you want to. Literally.
Also, a little tip is you can flip them over and paint the back for other holidays and seasons. These have fall flowers on the back so when September rolls around I will just flip them around and my fall decor is ready.
Next plan is a few Christmas ones with Easter? Valentines? on the backside.
This could be fun for kids too (that is if you want to relinquish control and not have any say so over how they look) so I’ll leave that up to you 🤪

Books I’ve been reading lately

Not A Happy Family: 4⭐️
What a perfectly wonderful suburban whodunnit!! Rich people behaving badly is one of my favorite genres and this book was satisfying. I always enjoy a Shari Lapena book.

All The Sinners Bleed: 4.5⭐️
Excellent storytelling (especially the linear style with minimal flashbacks and alternative POVs) Titus character was well thought out, layered and dynamic. Gritty & dark; True Detective season 1 vibes…subject matter isn’t my all time favorite topics BUT I was able to read without getting anxiety, which to me, reflects how talented the author is at not being overly graphic just for shock sake. Could the ending have been less rushed, yes. Do we need to know how the “jobs” went down and what Latrell did, maybe?

Wild Dark Shore: 3⭐️
The island itself is my favorite part of this book; learning about the history of the island it was based off of and giving time and space to the animals, nature & the climate was profound. It reminded me of North Woods and the respect given to the tenacity of nature. I enjoyed the themes but wanted a bit more from the characters and plot and the pacing. But, people love this book because it has a haunted beauty to it and an otherworldly feel.

Fahrenheit 451: 4⭐️
Finally reading this! Wanted to start checking long time books off of my TBR. Way more than just a censorship theme…even more interesting is the death of critical thinking, apart from a few, lack of intimacy, lack of friendships or speaking face to face, no longer walking for the sake of walking. Also I noticed all of the NOISE in this book!!!
In my mind I was replacing the screens & devices in the book with how we use AI and where it’s headed. All of our 60 second videos, AI slop, watching movies while scrolling, ChatGPT...
Anyway, I love sci-fi so I enjoyed this quick read. What would make Ray roll his eyes? I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tim Robbins😂
