How to layer for winter hikes ⬇️ WOOL. LAYERS. WATER-RESISTANT. 📌Save these tips: 1️⃣ I start with a tank top, then layer a wool base layer long sleeve on top. Base layers should be tight to the body to keep warm air in. 2️⃣ Then I’ll add another mid-layer on top, depending on cold it is will dictate the thickness of what I choose. 3️⃣ Lastly, a puffy jacket to seal it all in. If it’s going to be windy or snowing, I’ll wear a waterproof outer layer and maybe a gaiter for my neck.
