One of my favorite parts of traveling is stumbling across something completely unexpected.

While visiting St. Petersburg, Florida, I discovered the longest mosaics in the state….it’s a sidewalk! And it was even more beautiful than I imagined. As a mosaic artist, I couldn't stop filming the incredible colors, patterns, and details.

Confession: these bags of glass ornaments had been sitting in the corner of my mosaic studio for months. 😂

I use colorful glass ornaments in my mosaic art, but they needed a better storage solution. After sorting everything by color and consolidating multiple bags into one container, I finally reclaimed a little studio space….and rid myself of the eyesore of shopping bag clutter.

Broken bowls are basically just future mosaic flowers in this studio. 🥣🌼

This flower mosaic was made with pieces of a broken ceramic bowl for the petals and stained glass cut into tiny matchsticks for the center. One of my favorite things about mosaic art is how easily “oops” turns into art supplies.
