Is the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Impeccable Foundation good for mature, dry skin? I’ve found that it all comes down to how I prep my skin. Today, I used Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré as my skin prep, and this foundation is sitting beautifully on my skin. It has a soft matte finish, so I added a touch of highlighter to bring some light to my face—something I don’t always do when using a radiant foundation. I also prefer applying it with a powder brush and pairing it with bronzer rather than cream products. Have you tried this foundation? Good morning!! If any of you have a hard time finding boots to fit your calves, this video hopefully will help. My calves measure just under 16”. I’ve never been able to walk into a store and find a pair of boots to fit my calves. The Sam Edelman boots I ordered fit beautifully.

A subscriber suggested I wear this flannel shirt as a dress with the boots but I don’t think I’m that brave. Maybe with tights? 🤷‍♀️

Today I’m styling the rag & bone Miramar Mid-Rise Jogger Jeans with a simple top from American Eagle. These joggers may look like denim, but they’re actually crafted from soft cotton terry for the comfort of loungewear. A casual, easy outfit that’s equal parts cozy and stylish.

Brightens, Blurs + Protects

Testing the Clé de Peau Beauté Correcting Cream Veil—and I’m in love. I didn’t realize it contains SPF 21, which now explains the slight white hue I noticed.

This clip is from a livestream on my YouTube channel. I always get a little distracted chatting with viewers while applying my skincare and makeup. 😅 Next time, I’ll use less—I definitely applied more than I needed. I have a feeling it’ll look even better with a lighter hand.

The Clé de Peau Correcting Cream Veil is a beautiful primer in my opinion—and I don’t usually get excited about primers. It hydrates like skincare and smooths like a blur balm, without settling into lines. It also layers beautifully under foundation.

If you have mature or textured skin, this is a gorgeous luxury option worth trying.

Whenever I apply blush or bronzer over foundation, it always ends up lifting coverage and exposing my dark spots again. This technique solves that.

I used the Huda Beauty Blush Filter in Light Medium and placed it before foundation—letting it peek through in the most natural, seamless way. I won’t go back.

Makeup Look of the Day!
I pulled out my L’Oreal True Match Nude Serum Foundation for this one—and I have thoughts! Despite the name, it doesn’t really feel like a serum to me. The texture is thicker than I expected, more like a skin-finish foundation with decent coverage. It wears nicely, but I wouldn’t call it fluid or lightweight like most “serum” formulas.

What’s your experience with this one? Do you think the name fits the formula?

Smokey eyes aren’t just for 20-somethings. I’m still playing—and loving it. ✨
I get asked all the time about the best eyeliner for mature eyes, especially if your liner smudges or fades throughout the day. The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencils are one of my top picks. They’re creamy enough to blend (perfect for a soft smokey look), but once they set—they stay put.

I used the shade Tootsie—a rich cool medium brown with a matte finish—but your liner doesn’t have to be this dark. You can absolutely keep it softer or even play with a pop of colour. Make it yours!

This is a quick way to add some drama without it feeling overdone. If you’ve been unsure about trying a smokey eye as you age, I say go for it. Adjust it to suit you—it doesn’t have to be heavy to be beautiful.

I picked up the NYX Butta Bronzer in Butta Cup, the lightest shade out of eight.

The Morphe brushes seem nice so far, but I haven’t washed them yet. I wonder if the stiffness of the bristles is causing all the kick-up.
