I played the Blooming set last week, and it’s very cute! We said the backs looked like candy! Comes with a very nice quality vegan leather bag, the mat is sueded, and a nice tile bag. The only draw back is the 1 Bam does not have a bird on it! Bonus- I think it has return option! Most tiles sets are final sale and this allows returns! They now have a lunar new year version with candy red backs! If you are looking for a beginners set, this is the best value by far!! Also please do not buy the creepy clown version known as “cirquejong” stick to the Blooming (better) or Lunar new (best) year set.

My friend owns them and they look beautiful won her BeSpoke Mahjong mat (last picture). I’ve photographed them with the Maison Mahj house mat which highlights the purple in the tiles, and a very cute combo for Halloween! I also styled them with my Sunday Mahjong blues mat and they really do pop on that mat! I think I like them styled with the OMM multicolored racks, but contemplating getting the OMM purple racks #decisions

New Mahjong Mat - Amazon find! (Actually recommended from the Mahj community)
It’s a nice weight. Not too light but not too heavy (we don’t want our Mahj bags weighing a ton), it has a very nice sheen to it, the lines look nearly gold. The palms are a lovely dark green, and the rest of the mat has a hint of green palms outlined. Almost like a watermark detail. Very nicely done. My only complaint is that it’s 31.5 square so it doesn’t go the the edge of an average card table. Pairing it with different style racks so you can see how well it can vibe with different styles. You could also pair with clear or white racks.
I am thinking of pairing with Mahjong Co. paradise tiles or even their new zest tiles.
Great for beginners because there are reminders all over the mat!
