Dry cabin air, overnight flights, and jet lag can leave your skin feeling tight, dry, and tired - so for this EXTRA long trip, I packed my skincare faves in my carry-on to help me feel refreshed when we landed.

Here’s my exact in-flight travel skincare lineup featuring my ride-or-dies from Summer Fridays:

✨ Jet Lag Hydrating Eye Patches Cooling, brightening, and just feel so good mid-flight.

✨ Jet Lag Mask + Moisturizer  SO hydrating. Gives you that dewy, hydrated feel even when the cabin air is doing the opposite.

✨ Hydration Mist A little spritz makes a huge difference in how refreshed you feel.

✨Overnight Eye Serum Light, hydrating, and helps reduce that puffy, dry under-eye feeling.

✨ And yes… I put on my viral motion sickness glasses to get a little work done on creating content mid-flight 😂🐵

👉 I used this routine on our 10-hour flight from Doha to Cape Town - after already flying 16 hours from Atlanta to Doha and sitting through a 10-hour layover - and it was SO nice to feel hydrated after a long several days of travel. We’ll get into why I think soft-sided luggage is superior in a second, but even if you don’t agree that it’s the best….

📣Today’s travel tip in our 5 Simple Things that DRAMATICALLY improve your travels series is to invest in high-quality luggage and travel gear! (Even if it’s not our preferred type of luggage you do you!!!) 😉🧳

🫠Back in college I did not have the highest quality suitcase, and I can personally attest how NOT fun it is when one of the wheels of your new suitcase falls off in the Atlanta airport….on the way to China and you end up dragging a broken suitcase around China and back home.

I think a soft-sided suitcase is best for several reasons: 1) it’s lighter than most of the hard shell suitcases making it easier to carry and giving you more to work with for the weight restrictions if you check a bag; 2) Soft-sided bags give you extra wiggle room to squeeze in a few more items or adjust the shape of your bag to fit that last-minute souvenir or jacket (can you tell I love to over-pack?); 3) exterior pockets for quick access and packing more in; 4) I just hate how scuffed up and dirty looking or cracked a lot of the hard-shell cases get! 🧳

I know some of you are all about that hard suitcase life or even are Team Backpack and that’s awesome - whatever your jam, the game changer is finding a high quality piece of luggage that’s going to work for you and help you achieve your travel goals without stress and fuss!

Cody is OBSESSED with having the right gear - the backpack with everything just so and organization that makes sense and the suitcase that has great wheels. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll even find a hard-shell suitcase we love, but for now…
