😱Carlsbad Caverns includes 120 caves with more being researched and explored! The network of caves goes for hundreds of MILES!! The “Big Room” chamber alone equals to 8.2 ACRES and is the largest chamber in North America and the 32nd largest in the world!

Tips to Visit:
 ✈️ Fly in to ELP or ABQ and rent a car to drive to the park

🏞️ Enter with a US National Park Pass or Pay the standard entrance pass fees for each park.

This is one of the most epic and underrated National Parks we have ever visited!

White Sands actually used to be a National Monument and now is one of the newest National Parks in the US! 😍 You’ll find a field of white sand dunes composed of gypsum crystals - some dunes reaching as high as 60 feet (18m)!

We captured these shots during our New Mexico Road Trip and hiking through the dunes on the Alkali Flats and Backcountry Camping trails! ☀️ It was absolutely INSANE when the sky turned pink, purple, orange, and blue and the dunes were these beautiful colors reflecting the sunrise and sunset.

AND one of the best parts was we had the park all to ourselves for sunrise and after sunset!! Unlike many national parks that are open 24/7, this park opens at 7 am and closes 30 minutes after sunset, meaning you won’t be able to catch sunrise in the park depending on the time of year. But you can apply for a special permit for early entry and late exit which allowed us to capture astrophotography!

📍White Sands National Park features one of the most unique landscapes in the WORLD, with 275 square miles of white gypsum sand dunes. You’ll find some dunes reach as high as 60 feet (18m)!🌵✨

Unlike regular sand you’d find at the beach or in other deserts, these dunes are made of gypsum crystals, not silica—making them snow-white and much cooler to the touch! 🏜️ White Sands is home to the world's largest gypsum dune field!

This is truly one of the most epic and underrated National Parks we have ever visited!

🏞️ Enter with a US National Park Pass or Pay $15-25 for a Standard Entrance Pass.

Must Do Hikes:

🥾Alkali Flat Trail (4.5 miles)

🥾Interdune Boardwalk Trail (.4 miles accessible, but currently closed for safety so check status!)

Explore the vibrant city center. You can’t miss dinner at Sushi Social - the most delicious meal you’ll have in Reykjavik - and maybe all of Iceland!

📍Stop 2: Thingvellir National Park
Take in the breathtaking scenery and snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Silfra between two tectonic plates (if you can brave COLD water)! 🤿

📍Stop 3: Stargaze & Watch for the Northern Lights from a Bubble Hotel!
This was one of the coolest places we’ve stayed! It’s such a unique stay sleeping under the stars! And 2025 is one of the best years to spot Northern Lights!!🌌

📍Stop 4: Seljalandsfoss
Hike behind the waterfall and bring a rain jacket and rain pants because you’ll get wet!! 💦

📍Stop 5: Skogafoss
Hike to the top up the many steps or enjoy this epic waterfall from super close up down below (or both)!

📍Stop 6: Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach
Gaze in awe at the striking black basalt sand and dramatic sea stacks. But be very careful of the waves!

📍Stop 7: Fjadrargljufur Canyon 🏞️
Hike the beautiful canyon with jaw-dropping views! This is one of the most epic things we saw in Iceland! It feels like it’s out of a movie and is totally surreal!

📍Stop 8: Day 5: Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon ❄️
Enjoy a boat ride among the glaciers, spot adorable seals 🦭, and make your way to diamond beach!
