Let’s do my nails to match my locket. I wanted to do gold chrome wreaths because Christmas & the locket is gold. So first you’ll take the pieces out, trace the picture, and cut it out. Then you’ll place the cover back into the locket. And repeat on the other side.

Step 3: Wipe the whole nail with acetone.
Step 4: Mix white gel, top coat, and paint your design.
Step 5: Rub in your chrome.

This was actually the first design I ever sketched out. I was so proud of myself because I finally felt confident enough to create a set that I would want. It was so nice to fix the mistakes I made. Last year I made the mistake of making the ghost upside down and I forgot to add the dots on the flowers. I also forgot to add the drip on the middle finger. If you are reading this and feel discouraged where you are at in your nail journey just know that practice can really make a difference. I am so surprised with how far I’ve come. I will post some throw backs in my story so you can see that anyone who wants to can be amazing at nail art. 🤎

The reason behind why I chose this look. 🌸

I chose the pink & orange swirls for season 2 because she’s more confident in who she is. She is bold and knows what she wants. She won’t let anyone get in the way. She is brave and stands up for herself. Also I feel like these would have fit the retro night perfectly. In season 2 there’s a glimpse of her in season 1 as she wears blue to go see Susannah. I feel like it was showing the piece of her that is still in denial. She’s trying to hold on to every piece of the past, before things change forever.

Am I team Conrad or Jeremiah? 💭

Okay if I have to choose it’s Jeremiah. Conrad needs to do some work on himself before he can be in a relationship. He can’t communicate, and he doesn’t know what he wants from one moment to the next. He is rude to her and very toxic. I want to want Conrad for Belly but he just isn’t it for her.

Jeremiah has always been there for her, he is so sweet, he really just wants her to be happy. Which Conrad didn’t care about until Jeremiah gave him the idea.

I would also be okay with her choosing herself and finding someone else entirely. ☺️ I just want everyone to be happy. But the hopeless romantic in me wants one of them to end up together.

Okay so here’s the back story to why he purposed in the sand dunes. ✨

The day before he purposed he asked if I would want to go to bridal veil falls over the weekend. He has the worst poker face so I just knew that he was going to do it there. Especially because the last time we had gone I had said I would love to be purposed to somewhere like this. I called my sister that night and I was kind of sad because I didn’t care how cool the place was I just wanted it to be a surprise. After we hung up she called him and told him just do it wherever we are tomorrow, she just wants a surprise so just do it.

The next day he was taking a test and he was so excited about purposed he completely bombed it. He ran home and went and picked up the ring. He came over and said he was ready to go to the sand dunes. We were going there because I needed to take pictures for my photography class and he was the subject. He kept traveling deep into the dunes and wouldn’t hold still. It was freezing, and windy so I wanted to get the pictures and leave. He stopped and held me in his arms. He started saying all of the reasons why he loves me, and I didn’t think anything of it until he got on one knee. My mind was going a million miles per hour. He asked me to marry him and of course I said Yes! And he reached in his pocket and pulled out the ring he designed. I am still in love with it.

Up until that point in my life no one had been able to surprise me. Needless to say I was beyond surprised. Today marks our 5 year engagement anniversary. He really is my best friend and I wouldn’t want to do life with anyone else.

So I was about half way through painting the teddy bear, and keep in mind this is probably the most detailed small design I’ve ever done. Anyways I am about half way done, and I see at the bottom of the picture “Etsy stickers $4”. So that means I could have just bought these adorable little teddy bears, and saved myself a lot of time. 😅 Oh well, I learned a lot from doing it though.

Don’t touch your natural nails with this bit.  Step 2: Use a sanding band to buff the rest of the nail.   Step 3: Prep your cuticles. Going in forward and reverse motion. This will remove your cuticles and help the products last longer because you’ll be able to paint closer to the nail plate.   Step 4: File your nails to the shape and length that you want.  Step 5: Apply acetone as a dehydrator.   Step 6: Paint primer over your whole nail.  Step 7: Paint a slip layer of your builder gel over your whole nail and cure.   Step 8: Get a bead of builder gel and apply it to the appex of the nail. Work it back and forth into the slip layer and it will melt evenly. You can turn your finger upside down so the apex forms smoothly. Look at your line of light on the nail as a reference. Okay I’m going to be honest with you guys, it took me like 4 try’s to get it right. So I will share some tips so you don’t make the same mistakes I did! ☺️

Pro Tips 🫧

• Don’t use too much gel in your swirls. When you add the bubbles the gel will just pool if you have too much gel.

• Make sure you have enough bubbles so you can use your fingers to let it go around the nail.

• Lay the bubbles over GENTLY that is key.

• Have your curing lamp already on so you can put your nail with the bubbles on it straight under the light.

Anyways this was a really fun look and so worth it once you get it right. 🫶🏼 As always links are in my bio babes.

How to do Ombre eyeshadow nails 💅🏻

Step 1: Apply nude gel. (DND How do u neutral)

Step 2: Paint matte top coat. (Beetles Matte top coat)

Step 3: Dab in the eye shadow on the nail. If you mess up you can always wipe it off with a lint wipe and restart. If the eyeshadow is being stubborn just use some acetone on the lint wipe. Go back and forth, pick up more eyeshadow until you get the coverage you like. Using an eyeshadow brush helps it to blend more smoothly.

Step 4: Add swirls, and use the magnet to shift the gel. (Red Carpet gel Positively Attracted)

Step 5: Make sure you top coat the whole nail and cure. (Beetles Glossy top coat)

Let’s do the wedding nails I wish I would of had while I tell you how I met my husband.

I was visiting my sister in Texas and she was determined to set me up on a date. We went and visited one of her friends and as I walked in the door I saw the cutest little bull dog. I reached down to pet him and as I got up our eyes met. I was having a hard time not blushing. Because well, look at him. I honestly don’t remember what we talked about.

Later he texted me and asked where I’d want to go to dinner. I said Texas Roadhouse, of course and after we went to see the black panther.

We stayed up talking till 3am. He hugged me goodbye that night and the rest is history. Now we have been married for 4 years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Oh except that I wish I would have had these nails for our wedding. 🤍

Am I using my actual wedding dress for these pictures? Well yes, yes I am. 😌

My wedding nails I had were not what I wanted. Back then I couldn’t do my own nails and I still bit them. So I got acrylics and they were baby boomers but they didn’t look like it at all. She didn’t get the shape right either. The acrylics hurt my nails so much. So doing this was healing in a way to be able to do the nails I wish I would of had. 🥹

I did a collaboration with a bunch of other talented nail artists. They also did nail looks they would have wanted or they do want in the future. 🤍 Check out my post for their amazing work. 🥲

This builder gel is so creamy I am actually obsessed. Planning out more looks with it as we speak. 😮‍💨 Builder gel is key to growing out your nails.

Tips: Make sure to paint a slip layer, and then add a bead of builder gel to the apex of the nail and work it back and forth until it melts in. You can flip the nail upside down to help level it out better. Also if you use a fine brush on the side walls of the nail it helps get as close to the cuticle, and side walls as possible.

Step 1: Cut a piece of small thread & place it on your nail palette, then dab your gels on it. Don’t put too much.

Step 2: Top coat your nail but don’t cure, and slide the thread in your nail.
