My go-to humidity-proof curly hair routine for defined, frizz-free curls all summer ☀️💦

The DMV humidity is officially here, which means I switch up my routine and layer products for maximum curl definition, moisture, and frizz control. I always prefer defined curls over big volume in this weather, so yes—she’s a little heavier, but she LASTS.

I started with a deep condition using Moroccanoil to bring my curls back to life, then layered my staples from Pattern Beauty Indigo Rain line including the leave-in conditioner and palo santo curl gel for hydration + hold.

To fight frizz even more, I added a curl cream from Kérastase, then went in with a volumizing curl mousse from Love Ur Curls for structure and definition. Finished with Pattern edge control to lay everything down.

The brush does what it says it will do 100%. I just noticed a lot of shrinkage which I’m not a fan of and my curls are really small. It’s not something that I will incorporate into my daily routine because I like larger curls. But I can see why other people like it. What should I try next?
