This is a little different than our usual posts, but we really wanted to show this restaurant because they reached out saying that they were struggling to get noticed with all of the competition of restaurants in NYC. ❤️

She said that they were really passionate and had created something amazing, but just needed a chance to show the world their food! So @mattpeterson_ and us came to @tintonyc’s to order some of their food and hear their story!

We could feel their ambition and energy! They are so passionate about their food! They are a South American-style restaurant and came here from Colombia!

They saved up and, together with their family, opened this restaurant! We know the struggles of starting a small business as we recently started one ourselves. So after hearing their story and trying some of the best food we’ve ever had in NYC, we knew we had to share our experience and hopefully convince some of you to try as well! 🥹

“Tinto Cafe and Bar” is in the Lower East Side in NYC, and the location is so cute and, as I said, like a cozy restaurant in a sitcom! If you guys try it and love it, please let us know, we are so excited to hear your thoughts! 🥹❤️

backstory ::: Ellie has grown so much! It’s hard to believe that she is about to be 3! 🥹 I wanted to surprise her with a backpack while we were traveling, because there was a place that you can go and customize your bags!

For now Ellie is just using it for when we fly/travel, but when she starts her pre-school, we figured it could be her first pre-school bag too! 🥹

It’s hard to even believe that we are so close to that already. It feels like she was a little infant just the other day…

We all went into the store and picked out her favorite patches, and then went home for the day. The next day when it was ready, Tay went and grabbed the bag and brought it back to the apartment. Ellie opened it and was so happy to see her new backpack!

It’s going to be perfect for her toys and snacks, and she’s just so precious when she wears it! 🥹💕

10 months! 🎀🧸🤍

We are SO late posting this! We took these a while back and totally forgot to post them, and now she’s 11 months in 4 days! 😅

This month Sutton learned SO much! She started crawling, she’s pulling herself up to stand, and she started swim lessons where she’s learning to float on her back in the pool! 🥹 She’s tried so many new foods and has officially fallen in love with chicken lol. She’s so sweet and is jabbering more and more every day. 🥺

I can’t believe we’re already planning her FIRST birthday! 🥹😭 This has seriously been the fastest 10 (almost 11) months ever! 🤍

backstory ::: I have always wanted to live in NYC, so since we had to come for a few days, Tay decided to rent an apartment for us to stay in so we could see what it would be like to have an apartment in NYC.

I walked in and was so excited to see all of the windows, and be so high up! We got a 2 bedroom apartment which would be a little smaller than what we would need, but it’s just a dream for now haha. So we made it work!

backstory ::: A few months ago we took Ellie to the dentist for the first time. She started off strong, but after another baby cried, it scared her and she wouldn’t let the dentist or anyone else finish cleaning her teeth.

So we have been trying to get her ready for her next appointment so she wouldn’t be scared. We got her a dentist kit toy and played with that. We also watched some dentist videos on the tv!

We felt like she might be less scared now, but when we got there Ellie wasn’t too thrilled. We walked in and she went to her favorite spot in the office. The fish tank. And shortly after, we got a redo on the dental cleaning… 😅🦷

backstory ::: I’m trying to learn how to style my new hair and decided to try rollers! Apparently they were going to give my hair a nice curl and I had been watching tutorials on how to do it!

Tay walked in and was so confused at first because he’s never seen me wear these, but I filled him in and he watched me carefully take them out.

They didn’t quite turn out how I wanted. 😅 if anyone has short hair styling advice, send it my way! 😂❤️

9 MONTHS of Sutton Button! 🥹🌸🧸☁️

We are a little late to posting this! 🥹 But our sweet Sutton is 9 months old now. She has learned so much over the last month!

She loves sitting and playing with Ellie and is so close to crawling. She gets up on all 4s but doesn’t quite propel herself forward yet. 😂

She is always watching her big sisters and absolutely lights up when they make her laugh. 🥹🤍 You can tell she wants so badly to be right there running around and playing with them too.

Watching the way she adores them is the sweetest thing. 🌸 She also has 6 little teeth now, and her 7th is already making its way in! 🦷

We can’t wait to see what she learns over the next month as she gets closer to her first birthday! 🤍

backstory ::: Sutton is 9¾ months old, and I came prepared! 😂 I got the Harry Potter banners and even a sorting hat so that Sutton could pick her Hogwarts house.

Tay set it up and led me to the living room so we could watch Sutton choose. When I sat Sutton down, she didn’t move at first, as if she was thinking. Then she reached out and grabbed one! 😳

To make sure Sutton was right, I brought out the sorting hat and double checked! 🥹😂 It was so cute watching her celebrate her decision!

It looks SO good! 🤩🥹 backstory ::: in case you guys don’t know the backstory behind why this haircut meant so much to me… I've had long hair for almost a decade. I was so proud of my hair when I first got it to my goal length and I loved it long!

Over the last year and a half, lupus has taken a lot from me. I've been so sick, and one of the hardest things has been losing so much of my hair. 🥺

Because of the Lupus, my hair hasn’t naturally been long in a long time. I've been holding onto the length and fullness I used to have with extensions because I wasn’t ready to let go.

But recently I told Tay I realized I was spending so much energy trying to hold onto the old version of myself instead of embracing the woman I am today. So I made the decision to cut it.

I never want our daughters to grow up believing their beauty or their worth is tied to their hair or the way they look. Maybe one day my lupus will go into remission and I'll have long hair again. 🥹🩷

She was scared it was going to be loud because the dentist's toothbrush is loud! 😞🥺

🦷🪥backstory ::: Ellie had a dentist appointment coming, and last time she was so scared that the dentist couldn’t finish the cleaning, so we have been trying to make her a little more comfortable with going to the dentist!

I got her a dentist set so she could see all the tools and such that the dentist uses. At first Ellie was excited, but weary. Then after she realized that it wasn’t loud and scary, she had so much fun playing with the teeth and brushing!

Hopefully this will help her be less scared so that she can get her teeth cleaned this time!
