Three things I love: 1. A DIY project 2. Things that are unique 3. A special tradition This candle holder encompasses all of the above! It’s definitely been a favorite tradition that we started using for birthdays when Luke was teeny tiny. We use rainbow colored candles in a variety of sizes for our celebrations but I think it would also be fun to use colors that coordinate with other occasions such as Easter, 4th of July, and Halloween. This doesn’t have to be limited to birthdays… the possibilities are endless! Here’s what you’ll need to make your own: - One 4” x 4” x 8’ Premium Cedar Lumber for the base. Cut this in half for your candle holder. You’ll have enough wood to make two bases. - Depending on your candle size, we used a 13/16” paddle bit to drill 3 rows of holes along the top of the base. Our base has 71 holes total. Drill the holes deep enough for the base of the candle to sit in firmly. (A drill press would make this process easier if you happen to have one but we do not.) - Add candles and celebrate! 🎉 LTKparties LTKfamily LTKSeasonal
