This weekend in Las Vegas I presented my research, and this outfit carried me through the day beautifully.

My taxi dropped me on the wrong side of campus, so I ended up walking across the grounds to get to my building — and thankfully my Vera Bradley backpack had all my presentation essentials and was incredibly comfortable.

Style should move with your life.

The morning of my research presentation in Las Vegas, my husband and I had brunch at Primrose inside Park MGM.

Our driver dropped us off in the wrong location, so we had to run to the restaurant — and we made it with one minute to spare.

The ambiance felt like a Bridgerton tea house and the food was incredible.

And the grits?
I’m from the Deep South, so trust me when I say they were excellent.

After brunch we took the free tram back to Mandalay Bay where I relaxed before presenting my research.

If you’re visiting Las Vegas, Primrose is absolutely worth the reservation.

Pro tip: I booked an 8:45 AM reservation — it got busy shortly after.

Riding in a Self-Driving Car in Las Vegas 🚗✨

Y’all… I just rode in a self-driving Zoox car in Las Vegas and it felt like stepping into the future.

We were picked up at the Luxor and took a 17-minute ride through the city in a fully autonomous vehicle. No driver — just technology navigating traffic, stopping at lights, and cruising through the Strip with a curated playlist of pop, hip hop, and rock.

Honestly one of the most adventurous rides I’ve taken in a while. Sharing my Vegas outfit below.
